Recently Garmin has announced an upgrade to the popular Pilot My-Cast application for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.  This upgrade includes new features such as fuel pricing and approach charts.  This real-time fuel pricing information allows pilots to easily see what airports are offering the best price and allow then to plan fuel stops accordingly.  After choosing a location with decent fuel prices you can add it to your flight plan right on the application and see real time weather overlaid on the new route.  Then, if weather may be a concern, you can also pull up the approach charts for the airport to verify you are able to make the stop.  Pilot My-Cast is a premium weather, flight planning and flight filing application and it is currently available through the app store for a monthly fee of only $9.99 or an annual subscription of $99.99.  For more information visit www.digitalcyclone.com/pilot.
