Your auto gps system of course!! This means the insurance companies expect every car to have an inbuilt gps someday. It is probably going to take years for it to happen! By the way if your car doesn’t have an inbuilt device, nowadays you can get the cheapest gps devices to mount on your windshield.
Now with the PSP GPS attachment, it’s basically the price of the PSP: 169 dollars, plus the price of the GPS system: 50 dollars, plus a in-car holder: 30 dollars.
So you get a GPS with amazing multimedia and gaming capabilities for around 250 dollars, not to mention that PSP has an amazing screen.
I just realized that PSP is the cheapest GPS system around!
But of course, the one that came with the car is still superior due to its touch screen and pop-up design (compact) and voice recognition, and most third party GPS units have similar functionalities. But for someone who just needs a basic GPS, PSP seems like a very good choice for someone who would rather save the 600 dollars for a PS3. ![]()
The LN800 is the cheapest GPS we’ve tested to date which has text-to-speech. So, instead of generic instructions, like “turn left in 300 metres”, you get much more helpful ones, like “turn left in 300 metres on to George Street”. As we expected, LG didn’t attempt to localise the LN800′s voice and, as such, it has problems pronouncing words of Aboriginal origin. (We’ve compiled some of the LN800′s more humorous efforts in the side-bar to the right.) Unfortunately the quirks don’t end there: roundabouts are erroneously referred to as traffic circles and some roads are referred to by their code number — for example, Stanmore Road is called S54 according to the LG.
