Team Garmin: Millar, Farrar fuel argyle’s winning ways
-->Just in case you’re wondering how Team Garmin is feeling about its spring results, the podium pictures and race report headlines say it all:
Millar wins Criterium International ITT: After winning the individual time trial, David Millar said: “Christian Vande Velde was my TT coach from afar today. After I messed up the Paris-Nice prologue by over-strategizing it he took it upon himself to take charge. His words of advice were, ‘controlled panic.’ So that’s what I did, just rode like a loony!”
Farrar wins! Three Days of De Panne, stage 3a and Millar wins TT and GC at Three Days of De Panne!: Team Garmin-Transitions’ captain David Millar capped off a great day for the Argyle Armada with a convincing time trial win in the Three Days of De Panne. This gave him the overall win as well, while teammate Svein Tuft also placed on the podium in third. This followed a sprint win earlier in the day by Tyler Farrar, giving the team three wins on one day!
Farrar first American to win Scheldeprijs: Team Garmin-Transitions’s speedster Tyler Farrar used equal parts smarts and strength to become the first American to win the mid-week Classic Scheldeprijs in Belgium.
Next up is Paris-Roubaix on Sunday, where Millar, Farrar
Julian Dean,
Steven Cozza,
Johan Van Summeren,
Martijn Maaskant,
Danny Pate and
Ricardo Van Der Velde will represent Team Garmin in the Queen of the Classics. Stay tuned for more of Team Garmin-Transitions’ race reports and rider diaries and be sure to follow the @Ride_Argyle team on Twitter.
