PerkinElmer Unit Awarded $15 Million GPS III Clock Contract

Health and environmental company PerkinElmer, Inc., (Salem, Massachusetts) today announced that its Illumination unit has been awarded a $15 million contract from ITT Corporation Space Systems Division to support the gps kids watch Block IIIA Space System program. As part of this program, PerkinElmer will design and implement several engineering advances into its heritage gps kids watch Block IIR and Block IIF Rubidium Atomic Frequency Standard (RAFS) atomic clocks, as well as qualify and deliver flight units for the first two satellite vehicles by March 2012, with a projected launch date of 2014.
