Jake’s Journal: Revamped ‘Into Sports’ page latest highlight for Web team

IntoSports2 IntoSports From working behind the scenes to becoming scene stealers themselves, the Web team at Garmin.com always finds ways to impress me. And I’m not even talking about the immense database of product information or the endless floods of customer searches, purchases and registrations. Those efforts, as well as the Herculean work of our product support team, blow my mind just when I ponder a tiny percentage of the traffic. But today I’m talking about the interactive content that blends entertainment and enlightenment, the most recent example of which just went live today at Garmin.com/IntoSports.

TrainWithGarmin YouTube Blending vivid imagery, informative text, tutorial videos and helpful links, the redesigned “Into Sports” page aims to answer any questions that new or potential customers may have. Included in the useful links that welcome new Garmin owners are direct connections to product support, software updates, owner manuals, discussion forums, our learning center, the “Train with Garmin” hub of fitness information, and our database of preloaded golf course maps for Approach. You can also sign up for email newsletters for fitness or golf, giving you the latest news about your favorite activities and Garmin products. With embedded tutorials and links to our learning center, you can also see the stellar work of our in-house video team. I’m biased, but if they can make me sound coherent, they must be doing something right. For more examples of the Web team’s prowess, check out the Buzz section of Garmin.com, where interactive demos and informative minisites bring our products to life. All thanks to a talented troupe of online puppeteers that I’m lucky to work with.
