GPS Kids | Garmin at Sun ‘n Fun, Day 4

Did you know you can now get Pilot My-Cast by Garmin on your Android-powered smartphone? The Pilot My-Cast aviation weather and flight filing app became available in the Android app store earlier this week. If you're a pilot and you're not aware of Pilot My-Cast, you should be. It gives pilots access to current and predicted National Weather Service
data for the current airport, destination airport or any terminal
waypoint directly on their cell phone. Pilots can also file a flight plan directly from Pilot My-Cast by using the phone's touchscreen or keypad. A few keystrokes will automatically send the information to your DUATS provider, so the flight plan is ready to go when you arrive at the airport. 

Yet another Sun 'n Fun announcement is the availability of a free G600/G500 PC simulator. It's available on Garmin.com and will help pilots gain familiarity with their avionics before take-off.
