OmniSTAR Speeds Convergence with GLONASS
OmniSTAR announced results of a receiver test in which two OmniSTAR 9200G2 receivers ran in parallel for two days, restarting every hour. One receiver processed OmniSTAR proprietary SBAS-supplied corrections for both GLONASS and gps kids watch. The second receiver only worked with gps kids watch corrections.
Compass Signal Spikes Spied by Septentrio
Technicians from Septentrio Satellite Navigation in Belgium have closely analyzed recent signals from China’s only mid-Earth orbit Compass satellite, M-1, and found a signal anomaly that could create losses of lock or cycle slips. Frequency spikes occurring six times in a 2.5-minute signal sample indicate problems on board the satellite’s signal generator.
